That's right! After years and years of bravely not having any money involved, Warsow has a public paypal account now! And we are actually raising money now...
What for, you might ask? Seeing as Warsow is a game which shines in competition, on LANs and online, we have decided to give Warsow a little help in this regard. We need a big, nice competition, but we are no LAN organizers... Thankfully, the nice people over at crossfire are, and with their easybash (CDC 3 and 4 have passed with Warsow competitions) they offer a nice platform to promote our game. Sadly, last CDC was less than perfect, with fewer participants than expected, resulting in lower prizemoney and lower interest in general. Now of course, life isn't all about money, nor is Warsow, or a good quality competition... But money opens doors, and generates interest, does it not?
So the decision has been made to use easybash's opportunity to provide a nice, interesting LAN. Supported by you and us, the community! The goal of our paypal campaign is to raise money for easybash! Primarily we are targeting the prize money, raising it with community-generated money will raise interest, and make it worthwhile for top competitors to travel. Secondly we would like to tackle the registration fees, and depending on the results of the donation campaign, we should be able to cut some off of the current subscription fee (EUR 50). Easybash is the ideal way, as crossfire will take alot of work 'out of our hands' (as opposed to organizing something ourselves), and the previous support they have shown should not be in vain!
And for your ease of mind: The paypal account is registered to Warsow's legal backup; the non-profit association Chasseur de Bots. The generated money will not disappear into a swimming pool at SoLomonK's Warsow Land!
Last but not least, we won't be letting the community raise all the funds by itself, as I think that the future updates on the website will show what we're working on right now.
So in the end, the goal is to have both Warsow as a game, and the community benefit.
*edit: we're just over 80 euros at the moment :-) thanks for the donations so far!!!
Guess what ? Showtime again FFS !!§§

Hello all,
bring some popcorn, here's a very cool new movie of Warsow, our beloved game =)
As you may know, there's a very nice and active Warsow community in Japan, which is a big pride for us, knowing how huge is the gaming culture in this country. Anyway, this time, this movie from Loyalty is a frag highlights of Wassou LAN, which held there few weeks ago (march 2, 2008), gathering a good bunch of local top warsowians.
You can expect some very nice editing, like an awesome introduction scene made by Muff, and some good frags of course =) The people obviously had good fun participating to it,
KK enough words, here's the links :
- IRL pictures of the event
- Edited live video by js and Myhr (489MBytes)
- and of course, links to movie in our forum
Big thanks to competitors, to Wassou LAN staff, to Loyalty and Muff for their very nice work, to Guwashi for all info, and to all for your attention and support =)

Hi all,
probably all racers and many of our forum users already seen and enjoyed it, but it's not too late to share it to all warsowians.
Sorbet, currently top 25 on Warsow Racenet ranking, lately released a cool race movie, which is a compilation of his best runs in the best race maps.
Editing is cool, including some good music, good sync, etc. Some runs are particularly impressive, showing some outstanting skills.
So in case you missed it, you'll find links to mirrors and stream in our forum, here.
GG and big thanks for this very nice contribution, Sorbet ! =)
WarchoOoOoo !§!!!

Hello Warsowians,
Mote, the famous french top gamer and also author of Warsow Movement School tutorial videos, is back and just released a very nice new trix movie, Cutting Classes.
Not a single frag inside, nor any racemaps, but awesome runs performed by Mote and his mates Brako and Mdoo, in few classic warsow duel maps, like wdm1, ex-wdm2, wdm3 and wdm5.
As usual, video editing is clean and pro. Runs in classic maps are always particulary impressive and spectacular. This video will for sure remind to our veterans the warsow trix movie from Pez, which had a big impact on the interweb, few years ago. So in few words, a must see.
GG, Mote and co, and thanks once again for this beautifull new gift !
Ok, enough babbling, all links here. Enjoy !

Hello warsowians,
just discovered it in my usual news kiosk : Warsow has been added into cd-rom bundled in last issue of PC jeux, another big french computer game magazine.
It's very funny to see Warsow being introduced as one of the 2 full games included in it. And it was aswell a very nice surprise to see they used a warsow visual on the cd-rom itself. Bobot FTW FFS !§!!
let's hope this will help to see more frenchies on warsow servers =)
Welcome to Warsow, Froggies !
Also, the prestigious ESL tournament organiser has released the details for its upcoming WarSow 1v1 Cup. Give all those new froggies a good show :D GL & HF to all participants!!! >>BRACKETS<<
PS : this little news is garanteed no april fool inside :p)
